Follow The History

Cecil Sharp wrote continuously in his Diaries during the American trips. These entries paint a wonderful picture of the people that he and Maud Karpeles met. The grace of the mountain citizens, the depth of their knowledge on traditional ballads, and the human stories are all recorded. For this project we are presenting these diary entries as news articles through the years, tracking reports from a century before. We hope you find the stories entertaining and informative.
